Show LOCAL AND PERSONAL NEWS ! Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jones and Miss LuDeen Christensen motored to Sa-j Sa-j lina Monday afternoon. W. E. Spafford, district managerd for the Eouitable Life Assurance Society, So-ciety, was here this week in the interest inter-est of his company. Mrs. Roland Malmsten and Miss Virginia Malmsten of Marysvale and Mrs. L. E. Woolf of Salina, were Gunnison Gun-nison visitors Monday of this week. Mrs M. E. Cody, who has been here for the past two months visiting with her brothers, Reuben and Benj. Christensen, Chris-tensen, left for her home at Butte, Mont., last Friday morning. Miss Estella Duffin came in from Salt Lake last Sunday and she expects ex-pects to remain in Gunnison for a month, visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Duffin. Mr. and Mrs. Erick Rosenvall and Albert Rosenvall, of Salt Lake returned re-turned to their home at the capitol city Monday after spending a week here visiting with friends and relatives. rela-tives. Ernest Halverson, the insurance man, accompanied by Mrs. Halverson, Halver-son, left Tuesday for Price and other Carbon county towns. They will visit vis-it with friends and expect to return home Saturday. Mrs Samuel Anderson and daughter, daugh-ter, Miss Florence Anderson, are here from Fruita, Colo., for a two weeks' visit with Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Anderson. L. G. Anderson and Mrs. Anderson. L. G. Anderson and wife, and Mrs. J. S. Peterson motored to Thistle Sunday to meet the visitors. Miss Betty Villard returned Tuesday Tues-day from an extended visit with her uncle, Herbert Johnson at Salt Lake. Joe Kearns, the stockman, and well known here, was in Gunnison Monday for a brief visit. Mr. Kearns is spending two weeks at Fish Lake. Miss Audie Childs, of the clerical department at L. Frank's store, has gone to Fruita, Colo. She will spend ! two weeks' vacation there visiting with friends. Little Francis Robins entertained fifteen of her little friends at her sixth anniversary on Thursday of last week. Games and a dandy lunch were the features of the afternoon. Chas. C. Neilson, deputy county tax collector, was. a traveler to Salt Lake Monday of this week. He will be absent ab-sent a week or more on a combined business and pleasure trip. L. Ludvigson, Mrs. Ezra Neilson, and Clara and Farlane Neilson were here brom Marysvale the first of the week on a short visit. They returned to the southern mining camp Tuesday Tues-day morning. Next Thursday evening, September Septem-ber 7, Rev. A. V. Boand will conduct regular religious services at the Presbyterian Pres-byterian chapel in Gunnison. The public is cordially invited to attend the meeting. The members of the Royal Neighbors Neigh-bors met with Mrs. Caroline Peterson Monday afternoon. Progressive "500'' was enjoyed as a diversion and lion-1 ors went to Mrs. August Villard and I Mrs. Marlin Willardson. Lirht re- freshments were served following cards. |
