Show LAST "SAD" RITES Devoid of the solemnity that usually us-ually goes with the last rites, thirty-five thirty-five gallons of real to goodness "home brew" was consigned to itfe last resting place just recently at Centerfield. The ceremonies took place at the rear of the Grand View hotel and Mein Host George Peterson Peter-son was the general supervisor at the ceremonies. There were no mourners mourn-ers present they were absent and in hiding. Landlord Petlerson never suspected his hostelry was being used as a miniature brewery until qne evening his keen scent led him to one of the rooms on the upper floor of his hotel. Like a trained trailer, George was led to one of the rear rooms and with the aid of a pass key he made the discovery a barrel of "home brew." Preparations for the burial services were brief. The precious prec-ious barrel was rolled to a back porch and the cork pulled. G-u-r-gl-e, g-u-r-g-l-e for a short time and the scene closed. As yet no real claimants claim-ants have put in an appearance. |
