Show Automobiles, diamonds and many other things thali we have always known as luxuries carry a 5 per cent war tax. Sporting goods, which young America is now deeply interested inter-ested in, carries a 10 per cent tax just double the real luxuries. Would it not be just and proper fo reverse the tax. Or even better, take off the tax of the baseball, glove, balls and other paraphernalia and give the boys a chance. Otherwise our young fellows will lose interest in the healthful, outdoor life. |
