Show Youthful Bandits Again On Rampage The boys of this city, both young and those who wear long breeches, are given warning to watch ihrir steps. Unless a change is made in the actions of some of the youths here, someone :s going to be forced 1 to tell "the judge" just how it hap-penned hap-penned and Marshal Tollestrup is going go-ing to the one who will prance the "erring one" before the judge. Two depradations have been repotted re-potted during the week. One of them might have resulted seriously and the other was a case of pure cuss-edness cuss-edness stealing a bicycle. Monday n:ght someone stole a bicycle from the Gunnison hotel and after enjoying enjoy-ing a ride the vandal not content with his enjoyment, stamped himself him-self as being of the rabid type. When the bicycle was found Tuesday morning morn-ing in a nearby field covered with weeds and when uncovered it was found that the tires had been hacked to pieces and the machine otherwise damaged. Steps are being taken to locate the guilty one and if his identity iden-tity is discovered it is going to be . ly hard to convince the judge that the act was right. Last evening, while attending the leception for Anthony Metealf, Miss Lola Brown, who is here from Spring-ville, Spring-ville, narrowly escaped injury from a stray bullet. Miss Brown was conversing con-versing with friends at the Metealf home and was sitting on the edge of the porch. The bullet struck her on the right leg, just below the hip j and fortunately it was a glancing blow, otherrwise serious results would have folowed. The impact of the lead missle caused considerable pain and while the flesh was not punctured heavy swelling and bruises bruis-es resulted. Other complaints than these have been mads about the action of some of the boys of Gunnison and to put a check to it, a close watch is to be kept and the guilty ones, if found, i will be severely punished. |
