The Utah Central railroad, by which the new line is to be known, was organized some years ago. It was fathered by Jesse Knight, one of the best known capitalists in the State. . Mr. Knight has large holdings in the southern part of Utah, and he has been awaiting development for the final completion of the line through this county and the county north. During the past few years extensive ex-tensive development work has . been done at the coal mines at Salina and with the immense showing and with i large market on the Pacific coast final action was taken to build the lew railroad at once in order to care 'or the output. Associated with Mr. Cnight in the project are other capi- alists. |
