He is state historian as well as chairman chair-man of the Department's De-partment's Americanism Amer-icanism Commission, Commis-sion, lie also serves as historian of his post. Born in Balti-m Balti-m ore, Md., Mr. Koszel was edu- f !j t ii fl in t 1 1 n schools of his state and received the A. B. and Ph. D. degrees from Johns Horlk Ins University. Afterwards he was a fellow in astronomy and an instructor in-structor in mathematics in that institution, insti-tution, and later a teacher of physics, mathematics and chemistry In the Washington high school system, Washington, Wash-ington, D. C. From 1903 to 1008 Mr. Roszel was head master of the Se-wanee Se-wanee Grammar School, iu charge of the preparatory department of the University Uni-versity of the South. Since 190S lie has been superintendent of the Shenandoah Shenan-doah Valley Academy, a . military school at Winchester, Va. Mr. Roszel served eighteen months iu this country and 'overseas in the Army and was discharged a major. He has since accepted a similar commission commis-sion in the Reserve Corps. |
