Show LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST. Mr. and Mrs. Hans C. Tuft of Monroe Mon-roe have returned to their home after spending several days visiting with Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Tuft of this city. M. M. Robertson, chief lineman for the W. U. T. company, spent Monday and Tuesday here looking over the lines for his company. Mrs. D. L. Brundige and son, Billy, are visiting in Gunnison, and are the guests at the home of Mrs. Brund-ige-'s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Bardsley. II. A. Sonne, federal bank examiner, examin-er, and F. W. Piper, state bank ex-. ex-. a-.'iiner, spent a few days in this city this we !: going- over the records of the local banks. Miss Eldora Fkelof left Monday for Salt L.ike and from there she w nt to Schnellbourne, Nevada, where she will spend the summer with her aunt. Judge J. W. Cherry of the Supreme court of Utah, accompanied by Mrs. Cherry and Kellar Cherry, spent Tuesday night in Gunnison at the home of Mr. and Mrs. II. W. Cherry. Mrs. M. D. Kearns of Salt Lake was an arrival fro:. a the north yesterday. yest-erday. Mis Kearns will remain here for a week visiting with relatives and fromer acquaintances. Mrs. C. M. Maclsen returned to her home in Gunnison last Sunday. She spent a week at Sait Lake City visiting visit-ing with her daughter, Miss Christy Madsen, a student at the Paris Millinery Mil-linery store. Mrs. Leo Bardsley entertained for the members of the Bonne Foi club yesterday afternoon. A social time was enjoyed at needlecraft which was followed by delicious refreshments. refresh-ments. Mr', and Mrs. C. C. Edmonds, who came in from Salt Lake Saturday, returned north Tuesday morning. Mr. Edmonds was here looking after his interests at Centerfield and Gunnison. Gunni-son. Mrs. Julius Duggins was hostess to the members of the C N. O. club Monday night. The usual time was spent at needlecraft and sewing. Delicious De-licious refreshments were served at ten thirty. |
