Hermansen came down from Levan the first of the week to attend to some important business matters. Fred Wasden, among the pioneers of Gunnison Valley, but now living at Scipio, is here this week combining business with pleasure. Mrs. J. H. Midgley, who has been visiting with her daughter, Mrs. C. C. i Edmonds, for some two weeks, returned j to her home at Salt Lake last Saturday. R. Edwards, wife and baby, former I residents of Gunnison, were here sever i al days this week from Santaquin visit-j visit-j ing with friends and relatives. I j George Francum, county commissioner commission-er for Juab county, was here several days this week on a combined business and pleasure trip. Mr. Francum's home is at Levan. Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Dug-gins, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Baxter and Julius Duggins Dug-gins were auto travelers to Salt Lake Tuesday morning of this week. They will visit the auto show , held at the capitol city this week. R. L. Parr, of Salt Lake City, an experienced ex-perienced dry goods, clothing and shoe salesman, arrived in the city last night and will be associated with L. Frank of the Gunnison Coop.. Mr. Parr comes highly recommended and just as soon as quarters can be obtained he will bring his wife and sen here, making Gunnison their future home. Perhaps the man in the next busi ness buHd ing doesn't have as many worries as the editor but niether does he have as much fun. R. C. Norman and Keith Lewis of tie J. C. Penney company, and R. K -tubbs, attended the sparring carnival at Richfield last Monday night. Miss Elane Hill of Fayette, who was taken to a hospital at Salt Lake some six weeks ago, has returned to her home and is greatly improved in health. - Peter Christenscn of Annabella, was the guest of his daughter, Mrs. Lyman Mellor at Fayette, this week. Mrs. Mellor has been ill for some time but is i reported as improving nicely now., j Mrs. Sylvester Pierce, who has been at the bedside of her daughter, Miss Vesta Pierce, a student of the B. Y. academy at Provo, is expected home j next Sunday. Miss Pierce is greatly improved from the recent attack of pneumonia and it is likely she will accompany her mother to Gunnison. i Elmer Kearns will leave next Sunday morning for Los Angeles, where he expects ex-pects to remain for several months. He will take a special course at the National Automotive school. . Mrs. N. L. Peterson, of Salt Lake, w'ill remain with her daughter, Mrs. Kearns, dur- ing the absence of Mr. Kearns on the coat. |
