Show DEWEYVILLE. Bodies Removed Visited Brigham Girls of Pluck and Muscle. A few days before Decoration Day, a number of bodies which had long been buried at the Calls-fort Calls-fort graveyard were removed to Dewey ville and again laid away, to sleep among their departed kindred. kin-dred. The day was appropriately observed in our town. Last Monday, Sirs. J. C. Dewey, Mrs. Matilda Lish and others took several loads of children down to Hi igham to the Primary Conference Confer-ence and entertainment. Several of these children ten years of age, had never been in Brigham and they enjoyed seeing the elephant it was almost as good as a circus. Dewey ville is getting such a move on her that Boon the Brigham boys and girls will have to come up to Deweyville to see what a big town looks like. Why don't we get our Bi'gi.ers more regularly? We don't pay for i them that we ma' read them second-hand. A hint to the wise, should be sufficient. Talk about champion walkers why, Deweyville has two girls that we'll bet a bunch of hair pins can distance any other two pairs of legs in Box Elder County. The other night they challenged their beaux to make the trip on foot to a dance at Collinston, five miles from here. The boys reluctantly accepted. ac-cepted. The walk was successfully made. The girls were all right next morning, but it is said the boys were so stifi" and lame all over they could hardly get out of bed. Friday, Bishop Dewey will start with the Stake Presidency on a ten-days' ten-days' preaching visit to the western west-ern settlements of the county. Whoami. Deweyville, June 15. |
