Show Society j One of the social successes of the season was the family reunion held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Madsen Thursday of last week, the occasion being the sixtieth anniversary anniver-sary of the twins, Chris and Tony Madsen. It was a most enjoyable affair af-fair and at 6 o'clock in the evening an elaborate dinner was served to sixty guests. The Madsen home had been beautifully decorated for the occasion, oc-casion, gold and white being used as the color scheme while a profusion of carnations formed the centerpiece for the table. The 60-year-old boys were each presented with a beautiful ring, a gift from the children, and in addition ad-dition to this both were the recipients of many tokens as a mark of friendship. friend-ship. Mrs. C. M. Madsen, whose anniversary an-niversary was on the following day, also received a ring as a remembrance. remem-brance. Among the guests from outside out-side points were Mrs. J. N. Armistead of East Bakersfield, Cal.; Mrs. J. H. Salmon of McGill, Nev.; Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hill, Armer Hill and N. C. Jensen Jen-sen of Elsinore, Mrs. Archie Terry of Magna and Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Tilby of Centerfield. The .celebration of the 61st anniversary of the twins will be held at the home of Anthony Madsen, June 3, 1921. o Mrs. Arthur Christensen delightfully delight-fully entertained the members of the Social Circle club Wednesday afternoon. after-noon. Progressive five hundred was played, and following this amusement Mrs. Christensen served her guests with a dainty lunch. o Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Childs entertained enter-tained at an anniversary party last Sunday in honor .of Mrs. Jennie Weight, who is visiting here from Roosevelt. Fifteen guests were present pres-ent and an elaborate chicken dinner was served. Mrs. Childs was assisted by Mrs. A. J. Swain in serving. The members of the Bonne Foi club were the guests of Mrs. Conrad Frlschknecht yesterday afternoon. During the working period of fancy work and sewing M,rs. J. W. Jones gave a reading. Delicious refreshments refresh-ments were served the guests of 'the club. |
