Show Centerfield Man Called by Death W. T. B. Follutt, well known in Centerfield and Southern Utah, died at the Salina hospital last Sunday morning following an operation for appendicitis. . Mr. Follett was taken to the hospital Saturday and at 3 o'clock was operated on for a ruptured rup-tured appendix. His weakened condition- and the seriousness of the ruptured rup-tured condition of the appendix proved too much and he passed to the Great Beyond. Funeral services were held at the Centerfield meeting house last Tuesday Tues-day and were conducted by Counselor Chris. A. Peterson, with the singing under the direction of Gilbert Fjeld-stead. Fjeld-stead. The opening song, "O My Father," was beautifully rendered. Invocation was offered by C. II. Christiansen, followed by the song, "Sometime We'll Understand." Hans C. Jensen and Chris. A. Peterson were the principal speakers. Mrs. Edna Sorenson rendered a solo,. "I Have Read of a- Beautiful City," following fol-lowing the first speaker, after which the choir sang "Shall We Meet Beyond Be-yond the River." Leo Beck pronounced pro-nounced the benediction and the dedicatory ded-icatory prayer given at the Center-field Center-field cemetery was by Brigham Jensen. Jen-sen. William Tilman Balos Follett was born at Spanish Fork, July 14, 1859, and with his parents moved to Dixie. During the Indian wars he resided at Salina. Afterwards he removed to Sanpete county. In 1888 he was married to Andrea Nielson at Mt. Pleasant and the year following he removed to this valley, making his homo here. Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, John William, Swen Balos, Mark and Emmel, and seven daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Ole Larson, Mrs. Fed Jor-gensen, Jor-gensen, Mrs. Maud Draper, Mrs. Or-vill Or-vill Barney, Christie, Violet and Laura Follett. He leaves a brother. John Follett, and two sisters, Mrs. Esther Larson of Monroe, and Mrs. Mary Clark of Ogden, all of whom were present at the funeral. Ward conference was held in Centerfield Cen-terfield last Sunday. Timely instructions instruc-tions were giveu and the general stake and ward officers were sustained. sus-tained. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Barton and daughter, Barbara Ann, of Morgan, have been visiting with Mrs. Barton's Bar-ton's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. II. Embley. They will leave shortly for Beaver to visit with friends and relatives. |
