Show ANNUAL BAZAR PROVES HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL The bazar staged by the officers of the Gunnison ward Primary at the Peterson hall last Friday night was a crowning success from every point. Shortly after the doors of the spacious hall were opened the crowd surged in and standing room was at a premium. But it was a good na-tnred na-tnred crowd and everyone joined in the spirit and aided in making the affair a grand success. Myriads of beautiful bric-a-brac, fancy work, aprons, and other wearing apparel had ben contributed and these were artistically displayed for sale. The booths were bombarded and soon the stock was reduced to merely nothing. The vegetables, fruits and other articles that had been placed on sale were somewhat a drag until the auction began. In gig time every article and every speck of farm produce pro-duce that had been on display were disposed of and the officers realized the neat sum of $135. Those having the bazar in charge desire, through the columns on the News, to extend their thanks to all those who so kindly kind-ly aided in making the event the success suc-cess it proved to be . |
