Show Health Clown Is Given Reception "Humpty-Dumpty," the health clown sent out by the Utah Public Helth association, amused, entertained enter-tained and gave some sound logic to several hundred school children at the high school auditorium last Monday Mon-day morning. The coming of "Humpty-Dumpty" was not generally advertised adver-tised but this did not interfere with practically every pupil from the grade schools at Gunnison, Center-field, Center-field, Axtell and Fayette and the students of the high school from seeing the health clown in his demonstrations demon-strations and lecture. And it was thoroughly enjoyed. "Humpty-Dumpty" was clever in his talk to the little folks and he evoked mirth and laughter in his many demonstrations. His principal theme was health for the children and he deeply impressed the idea of carrying out plans that would bring it to all. In his demonstration against the use of coffee by children he gave a living illlustration, using one of the boys present. A cup supposed sup-posed to contain cotfee was changed, by magic, to sweet, pure milk. At this point "Humpty-Dumpty" explained ex-plained the evils of coffee and impressed im-pressed upon them the importance and health containing elements of milk. Vegetables, milk and clean, wholesome whole-some food were advocated and among other things that were urged were: Brush the teeth every day. Drink j a pint of milk every day. Wash yourj hands before eating. Get at least ten ; hours sleep out of every twenty-four hours. Take two baths every week. i Sic p with windows open. I i "Humpty-Dumpty" with his giant : tooth brush and big comb, and attired as a comedian, made a hit with the i kiddies and before he closed his en-1 teidainment he asked those present j to lend every aid in supporting the sale of Xmas seals, thus enabling the nation to fight tuberculosis. |
