Hitter, of Salt 1 Lake, published an article in a Fort Madison paper in which he says this is the case. lie says likewise, that as t h ey w e re d ri ven a way 1 from their homes in the early days, now that the Gentiles are getting the ascendency at Salt Lake, the Saints intend to return to Nauvoo a n d take up their abode again there. They were driven away from their homes in the early days of Mormonism, and now intend to return and claim their own by lawful and peaceful process through U. S. courts. It will be well for some of the denizens to look after the title of their property, as it is firmly believed the title to all the land or reality in Nauvoo is defective. defec-tive. Mocomb Journal.
