Show SPLENDID RECORD MADE WITH CHRISTMAS MONEY , A complete report of the accomplishments accomplish-ments of last, year's "good health" campaign, as financed by the sale of Christmas Seals, lias recently hern published by James II. Wallis, Executive Execu-tive Secretary of the Utah Public Health Association. The report shows that during the past year over thirteen thousand dollars dol-lars was spent in connection with the operation of the Traveling Health Clinic, which conducted a Tuberculosis Tubercul-osis survey of the state, diagnosing early eases and giving fre? examination examina-tion and information to outlying districts dis-tricts where such aid was unavailable. The clinic has now covered every county of the state but, three, and I will continue until the remainder Is visited. Tn a'ddlfion to this free clinical work, the funds obtained through the sale of Christmas Seals conducted the Modern Mo-dern Health Crusade, which reached mere than in, 000 children of the state; paid the salaries of public health nurses nurs-es and helped to employ other nurses nurs-es for duty in various communities of rtah : conducted n clnn school contest in over "00 school rooms of the state: printed more than loO.nOO pieces of educational health literature, most of which has been distributed In localities locali-ties where such literature was particularly par-ticularly needed: furnished health movies, mo-vies, stereoptlrnn views, exhibits, In-:t'lut's, In-:t'lut's, health clowns and other educational edu-cational measures dealing with the prevention and proper treatment of the disease. The aid has been dlr-et-ed principally toward the children. |
