Show Sportsmen Urge For Better Laws At the invitation of the Utah State Sportsmen League, which asked suggestions sug-gestions from the Gunnison Valley Fish and Game Protective association, associa-tion, relative to the state game laws which are to be modified and changed at the coming session of the state Igislature, some fifteen local sportsmen sports-men met at Attorney C. M. Edwards' office Monday night. The plans of the local organization were put in concrete form and were submitted at a meeting of the county organization held at Ephraim Tuesday evening. Dr. J. A. Hagan, president, and C. M. Edwards, secretary-treasuerer, of the Gunnison Valley, Fish and Game Protective association attended attend-ed the meeting at Ephraim and came out with victory, the changes in the laws as having ben suggested here Monday, being almost unanimously endorsed by the county members. The text of the suggestions endorsed en-dorsed by the local organization at the Monday night meeting, and which were adopted by the county club, are as follows: That Fish Lake be open until October Oct-ober 31st of each year, as at presnt. That we oppose a $5.00 resident license for deer hunitng, as a means of keping boys under 16 from hunting, hunt-ing, or for the purpose of protection to deer; but that in lieu thereof we propose that there be a closed season as ofthen as necessary to protect the deer. That non-resident license for fish and small game be $5.00 ' That non-resident license for large game be $10.00 That we recommend that seiners be required to furnish bond. That salmon eggs for bait be prohibited. pro-hibited. That the deer season remain ppen as at present. That every fifth year it shall be lawful to kill doe. That the use of sink boxes be opposed. op-posed.
