Jones motored to Salt Lake this morning for a brief visit with his wife and sons. j Mrs. Ellen Hofheins and Newell Hofheins were visitors at the celebration cele-bration at American Fork yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Wendall Perkins are here from Provo and the guests at the home of Mr .and Mrs. Will Per-1 kins. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Johnson and children returned last Saturday from a week's visit with friends and relatives re-latives at Salt Lake City. Miss Aphelia Booth and Wm. H. Garrett of Nephi visited with the Misses Vio and Lucile Sotrenson in this city Thursday of last week. Mrs. Leland J. Farrer, of Salt Lake City, a sister to Mrs. Ernest Halver-son, Halver-son, was the guest at the home of the latter the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sanders and daughters, were motor passengers to Idaho last Saturday morning. They will go to Star, Idaho, where they will be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. V, McDowell. Before returning the Sanders family will visit other sections of Idaho and they expect to be absent three weeks or more. Mrs. C A. Fredrickson of Salt ' Lake is here and is the guest at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Willardson. She will be here for ten days. Miss Laura Buchanan, who has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs Royal Buchanan at the Gunnison hotel since last Friday, has returned to her home at Manti. Bishop E. L. Swalberg and Carroll and Uhlan Swalberg are at Mt. Pleasant this week. They motored to the "Hub" city Tuesday and spent Independence Day with relatives and friends. Roy Edwards came in last week from Idaho. Mr. Edwards, who is an expert at sheep shearing, has been with some of the large companies in the Gem state for more than a month. Miss Christy Madsen, accompanied by her house guest, Miss Vilate Watson, Wat-son, returned to Salt Lake Sunday morning, after spending two weeks here with her parents. C. M. Mad-sen Mad-sen and son, Odell, accompanied them to the capitol city . Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Mellor, and daughter of Fayette, left for Star, Idaho, last Saturday morning. They are traveling by auto and will be i absent two or three weeks visiting with relatives at Star and other Idaho Ida-ho cities. Tom Madsen, here with his parents for the past thre weeks returned to McGill, Nevada, Sunday morning. Julius Duggins motored to Provo Tuesday. After celebrating the 4th he will return and will be accompanied accompani-ed by his wife and children. The latter have been spending a month's vacation at the Garden City with relatives re-latives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Q. G. Crawford, parents par-ents to Mrs. Alma Fredrickson, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Leone Ralph, were here overnight last week. Mr. Crawford was enroute to Emery where he has extensive stock interests. inter-ests. Geo. Whyte of Richfield has temporary tem-porary charge of the local offices for the Telluride Power company during the absence of manager F. T. Nelson Nel-son at Salt Lake City. L. Ludvigson, superintendent for the Vahlasia Mining company, operating oper-ating at Marysvale, and Chas. Perkins, Per-kins, head carpenter for the company, com-pany, came in Monday evening to spend the Fourth in Gunniso. They expect to return to the mining camp the latter part of the week. Ray B. Mctcalf came in from Salt Lake Sunday afternoon, being accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Metcalf, and the Misses Alta and Beulah Metcalf. The latter have seen at the capitol city for the past month or more visiting with Mrs. Metcalf's parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. II. Ilalvcrson. Tom has a good position with one of the big companies operating in that section and he will resume his wo'k after enjoying a vacation. Marvin Madsen, a brother, accompanied Tom and expects to secure employment at McGill. Mrs. L .L. Cliilds, son and daughter, daugh-ter, letf for McGill, Nov., last Sunday morning. Lovcll Childs is now with one of the big smelling companies at the Nevada mining town anil lite family will make their home at McGill. Mc-Gill.
