Show SWEET SUMMER. Says an exchange: "When the frost is on the windows, and the kitchen pail is froze; when the little icy needles come with every breath that blows, when chilblains make us sick and faint and cold feet give us pain, it's safe to bet we will all wish for summer days again. For while we sweat and fu mo aro u n d i n ga u zy s u m m er clothes, it's an easy thing to g t cooled off, as everybody knows. But it's different in winter, when the world is full of ice, and the weather is as hard to beat as a pair of loaded dice. We may talk about our climate, and about our spring and fall, but the balmy days of summer arc the days that suit us all. |
