Show Bank Officials Are Selected Officers and directors for the Gunnison Gun-nison City National bank, the new institution to open for business in this city, were chosen at a meeting of the stockholders held last Wednesday. Wed-nesday. J. M. Knighton, former mayor, was selected as president, and James Bown, prominent in the stock circles, was chosen as vice-president. As yet a cashier for the new organization organi-zation has not been chosen. The board of directors, consisting of nine members, was named as follows: J. N. Christensen, Mayficld; William Bown, Fayette; AVilliam Metca'lf, S. M. Duggins, M. Beauregard, Joseph Willardson and II. C. Olson, Gunnison. Gunni-son. The Gunnison City National bank is capitalized for $50,000, divided into 500 shares with a par value of $100 per share. The new hank will have quarters in the Villard building, now occupied by the Peterson Meat it Grocery company. The building will soon be vacated when it will undergo remodeling. remod-eling. The exterior and interior will undergo changes and the building put in modern style. J. M. Knighton, president, and J. N. Christiansen, director, will leave no Sunday for Salt Lake, when the ! furniture and supplies for the new bank will be purchased. It is planned plan-ned to have the bank open and ready for business within si.vty or ninety days. |
