Show poultry and eggs estimated at about'-' 400,000 to $500',U00. Since that time the industry has gone thru a phenovninal development and a considerable con-siderable amount of both poultry and eggs are being exported. During the present year at least nine or ten cars of dressed turkeys, fifteen or sixteen cars of broilers and 90 to 100 cars of fresh eggs with a combined value of about $-100,000 to $150,000 will be sent to markets outside of the state. This growth of the industry is due laigely to a better knowledge of the pioblems of poultry raising by the farmers of the state which means an increase in production and in many respects lower cost. The important factors here are better stock, with a knowledge of how to cull out the slacker, better housing and environment environ-ment and improved methods of feeding. feed-ing. I'oultiy raising is not so haz- ardous and is more sure than most other farm crops.
