A correspondent writing from Kelton Dec. 13, says there were five inches of snow on the ground and it was still coming down. By this time most of the 100,000 sheep in that locality have been driven down to their winter range on Hog-up. west of Great Salt Lake. Wm. Lowe, delegate-elect to the Constitutional Convention, was up from Willard, Wednesday. He says the people of Willard are getting get-ting up a grand benefit ball for an absent missionary. The ball will be given in the Willard Opera Hall Friday, Dec. 2S. Admission, $1. The cases of Win. Cot tarn of Snowville, against A. Goodlifle of that place and the Herald have been patched up satisfactory to all parties. Particulars are said to have appeared in the Semi-Weekly Herald of Dec. 12. We have not seen the article and therefore cannot can-not reprint it as per request from Snowville. Tuuiiny Mason, age 12, died 1'n" Willard of typhoid fever, Monday. The funeral took place Tuesday. The deceased was a fine lad and had man' friends in various parts of the county, lie is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. S. Mason, both of whom are dead. The Mason family have had much destressing sickness and trouble of late, but they have Ihesyinpathy and help of the good people of Willard. |
