Show MET HORRIBLE FATE. Aged Prospector Dies From Starvation Starva-tion and Cold. Buena Vista, Colo. W. B. McClure, aged 65, a pioneer prospector and miner of the Mount Princeton district, six miles west of here, was found frozen to death in his cabin near the top of Mount Princeton on Friday. A ranchman living in the neighborhood, who had missed McClure for several days, went to investigate, and found his dead body. Every scrap of food in the cabin had been eaten, and indications in-dications are that McClure had become be-come so weakened by starvation that he was unable to endure the extreme cold of the past week. The snow In the vicinity of Mount Princeton is ten feet deep and the ranchman who found McClure had great difficulty in reaching his cabin. Practically every trail leading thereto had been obliterated. |
