Show TURKEYS ABUNDANT AT AXTELL The good people of Axtell boast of , having raised this year some 400 fine turkeys, which it is estimated will , fetch on the market an average of two dollars each. If there ia another place in the county that has done any better in this line your corespondent would like to be informed of it. Mrs. Anthony Madsen is absent in Salt Lake City for a stay of about three months, having her daughter Christina there under treatment for a spinal trouble. Two more new residences are being erected in the Axtell district, the par ties responsible being N. P. Sorenson and Van D. Spalding, jr. Mrs. Alex Rasmussen is moving her household effects to Ephraim, where she expects to spend the winter. Job Hemsley and family will ocoupy the place during her abseence. C. L. Thorpe and wife attended the funeral of their departed friend Mrs. Lizzie Smith of Redmond, last Saturday. Sugar beets here are ready for digging dig-ging as soon as orders to snip are received re-ceived from the factory, The crop certainly looks tino, Mrs, Maria Thompson came home this week from an absence the past year in Idaho. Busiaess visitors to Axtell this week have been : Van D. Spalding, er , of Salt Lake, R. F. and C. Braithwaite of Manti. James JeDsen and John Hansen of Fphraim visited here Sunday. Work on the new school building is at a standstill just now, the contractors contrac-tors having work of more importanoe seemingly elsewhere. |
