Show SCHOOL NEXT MONDAY. The public schools throughout the Gunnison district will be permitted to begin work next Monday, a delay of one week on account of quarantine. John Beal who has acted as principal in the Washington school the past two years, is relieved from class work and now given general supervision over all the schools in the district. It is thought by this plan to give more efficiency and accomplish results more equal than by the former method, the schools being separated a considerable distance. The teachers employed this season, as handed in by Clerk Joseph Chris-tenson Chris-tenson of the school board, are : John Beal, general principal. Washington school, Gunnison C. Q, Holladay, 7th and 8th grades; Leander Thompson, 6th grade and music; C. H. Embley 4th and 6th grades ; Ruby Jensen, 3rd (,'rade ; Mary Bywater, 2nd grade ; Eliza Williams, beginners' grade. Lincoln sohool, Centerfield C. W, McConkie, 7tli and 8th grades ; A. E. Sells, 5th and 6th grades ; Esther Anderson, 3rd and 4th grades ; 1st and 2ud grades ; Dora Day, beginners' grade. Grant school, Axtell Francis Smith, grarcmer grades ; Agnes Olson, Ol-son, primary. |
