Show I A business change of the week was the t ransfer to Feterson Sisters of Manti of the bakery and lunch concern con-cern owned by K. J. Bird and con-'' con-'' ducted in the old Cash store building. Ownership of the building also has pased from Henry McKenna, Jr. of Salina to O. 11. & C. E. llalversou of this city, who are now having the place remodeled. The Gunnison Literary and Civic society was favored Tuesday evening with the usual excellent program. William Johnson of Richfield has spent the week in Gunnison, his former for-mer home, and will be with us a period peri-od longer with the view of getting the community generally more interested inter-ested in Bible reading. Mr. Johnson addressed the Theological class last Sunday in Sabbath school. He formerly for-merly taught school here, coming at the instigation of Dr. Maeser as a graduate from the then B. Y. academy acade-my of Provo, in 1878. For the benefit of patients and friends who did not get to see me while in Gunnison, last trip, I will be at the White House all the afternoon on Wednesday, April 15, using the new test Retiniscopy and giving the same high class service as before. Ilagan on last Friday afternoon af-ternoon entertained in honor of her little daughter Julia. The occasion was in celebration of little Julia's fourth birthday anniversary. Thirty-two Thirty-two of her little friends enjoyed a most happy time together at Dr. and Mrs. Hagan's elegant new home on west First South street. Prize games proved an attractive feature, In which Merion Madsen and Cornelia Lund were first winners and the booby prize was the contentment shared by Linda Halverson and Rosalind Rosa-lind Jensen. Dainty refreshments were served at five o'clock and the complimented guest was the recipient recipi-ent of many beautiful presents. |
