Show returned and went to work on the old pay. Centerfield is being augmented by the moving here of several families. who have bought land from the Spalding-Livingston oompany. Four or five of these are families who have resided in Bountiful and carry good church standing with the Latter-day Saints. This will strengthen our ward very materially. We bid them welcome and want more. Arrangsments have been made to hold cottage meetings bgain in this ward during the early winter season. Six divisions will each have two speakers speak-ers and every home will be visited. Those paired for this duty are : Bishop Bish-op A. C. Fjeldsted and James S. Jensen, Jen-sen, Herbert Back and C. P. Larson, L. N.. C. Myrup and C. H. Christiansen, Christian-sen, Soren Anderson and S. P; Jensen, Jen-sen, and H. C. Jensen, H. O. Nielson and J. C. Hansen, CENTERFIELD. The mutuals are meeting every Sunday evening, with gook success . Martin'us Nielson has sold his place to his father and removed with hie family to Salt Lake, H. C. Hansen and Soren Anderson two of the presidents in the 65th quorum of seventies, were over in Fayette Monday evening and Bet in order the quorum there. Many of the Centerfield farmers are busy hauling sugar beets, others are working on the Highlond canal nod still others for -the old reservoir company, team work being $3.50 per ; day. The home of Chris Michaelson was made happy a few days ago by the arrival of a great big boy. Also a new-comer is recorded at the home af Mr. andyMrs Martin Sorenson, the B8w edition being a boy. Sunday last our ward meeting was addressed by Austin Kearns and Roy D. Mellor, home missionaries from GunnisocJandlFayette. A Brother Broth-er Woolley from Logan, who is canvassing can-vassing "The Life of Wilford Woodruff," Wood-ruff," also took up a portion of the time very profitably. Sylvester Whiting has sold his farm to the Fjeldsted Bros, and in the near future will remove to Monroe, Mon-roe, where he has bought a home. Mr. Whiting is one of Centerfield'i pioneer men and much respected, for many yeara holding a place in the ward bishopric. . Some of the beet growers are haling hal-ing trouble with their workmen. Feeling they were not being paid suf-: suf-: ficiently for their work the hands went on a strike, two of them leaving for Marysvale. While at the latter place one of them got too much booze and fell to the cara of peace officers aftsr scrapping. The better behaved |
