Show THE HIGH SCHOOL OPEN With Principal Joel E Ricka and Miss Jean Winder in charge, the Gunnison high school opened Monday Mon-day morning last for registration of students. While not up to expectation expecta-tion the enrollment is nevertheless most encouraging and the prospect is bright for a more satisfactory number The work of instruction is proceeding proceed-ing quite satisfactory to Professor Robison, who visited the school yesterday yes-terday in the capacity of supervisor. The high school board and faculty are anxious for the success of the Gunnison adjunct, and have so arranged ar-ranged the studies here that for the next week students need, attend only in the forenoon, thus affording the afternoou off to devote ia assisting with the fall work. To correct an erroneoue impression it may be well to here state that studies stud-ies in Domestic Art andMuBio is included in-cluded in the course at Gunnison as well as Manti, competent instructors being provided for these pepartments of ladies' haud craft, and vocal and instrumental music The school at Gunnison isjsupplied with elegant desks and can assure accommodation to all in this section of the South Sanpete High School district who have not past the two year course. That of the third year, or juiior course is also contemplated. Parents, and those yet ia the grades are cordially invited to visit the school at any time. |
