President Taft has approved ap-proved the report of the special board of army engineers recommending the apportionment of the new $20,000,000 fund, provided by congress, among the fo'lowing reclamation projects in the west. Salt River, Arizona, $495,000; Yuma, Arizona and California, $1,200,000; Grand Valley, Colorado, $1,500,000; Payette-Boise Idaho, $2,000,000; Milk River, Montana, $1,000,000; North Platte, Wyoming and Nebraska, $2,-300,000; $2,-300,000; Truckee-Carson, Nevada, $1,-193,000; $1,-193,000; Rio Grande, New Mexico, Texas and Mexico,$4,500,000; Umatilla, Umatil-la, Oregon, $325,500; Klamath, Oregon Ore-gon and California, $600,000; Strawberry Straw-berry Valley,. Utah, $2,272, 000;Sunny side and Tieton, at Yakima, Washington, Washing-ton, $1,250,000 and $665,000, respectively. respect-ively. The $20,000,000 is to be spent within, the next five years, and the interest on the loan is to be charged against the projects. |
