Mr Pierce has made a study of dry farm cultivation in raising alfalfa seed and has been assigned one of, the speakers at the school to be held ell nest week at Nephi, under direction of the Utah Agricultural college. Seasonable cultivation and proper thinning of the alfalfa is the secret of his success. Mr. Pierce declares his preference to dry farm over the irrigated. guests of Mrs. Clarke's mother , Mrs AunieC. R R : A gathering to the number of thir ty - four of her posterity, at the family home greeted Mrs. Anthony Metcalf, Sunday week, commemorating the sixty seventh anniversary of her birthday. A good time ensued and Mrs. Metcalf made happy by the family reunion thus effected.
