Show Hard Times Party. r!h' Rird Times party s iven by the Royal Neighbors on last Saturday evening was a decided success, and everyone enjoyed thernselyes in the old fashioned way. Prizes were given to the poorest dressed gentleman and the poorest dresssd lady. The three judges appointed ap-pointed decided in favor of Fremont Barnes and Mrs. Sarah Martin, the former being awarded a cigar holder and the latter a decorated toothpick holder. Mrs. McKenna, being the lucky one in a guessing contest, received a cake. A deal of amusement was created by the kangasoo court, by which a neat little sum was taken in. A 3-course luncheon -vas se rved at 12 o'clock and was followed by a few more old fashioned games before the oomp y sep erated for home. |
