Show MUST STOPFIGHTING NO PEACE IN WAR-RIDDEN MEXI-CO MEXI-CO UNTIL REBELS LAY DOWN ARMS, SAYS LIMANTOUR. Mexican Minieter of Finance Enters Upon the Task of Pacification, in the Outcome of Which the Whole World Seems Interested. Mexico City. With a warning to all Mexicans that with every day the rebellion continues the danger of international in-ternational complications increases, a plea to them to rany to the support of General Diaz, and a declaration that the government never can enter into peace negotiations with individuals individ-uals in arms, Finance Minister Lim-antour Lim-antour on Monday entered upon the task of pacification which the whole world, at least, has set for him, and in the outcome of which the world is Interested. Senor Limantour said the statement that he was the bearer of conditions for the establishment of peace, placed in his hands by the Maderos in New York, was an absurdity. Mr. Limantour called upon the president pre-sident at the national palace late Monday afternoon. The meeting was cordial in the extreme, the two old-time old-time friends shaking nands and embracing em-bracing repeatedly. |
