Show Japanese Drowned. M, Kabayashi, a Japanese employ" ed last Beason on the farm owned by Hon. T. F. Kearns, was on Sunday last in company with others of his oountrymen traveling with a load of furniture to Salina and, while nearing the bridge over Sevier river at Redmond, Red-mond, his horses took fright at a passing auto. The wagon was overturned over-turned and the Japanese driver thrown iuto the river. When news of the accident became known a score or more of men dragged drag-ged the river, but failed to locate the victim in this way. It is reported the stream has since been partly dfvertcd and the body found, lodged in a bed of quicksand. |
