Show Legal Notice There are to be several changes in procedure at the Gunnison Valley Hospital. As of November 1, 1980, interest will be charged at the rate of 18 percent per annum (1.5 percent per month) on any unpaid account balances. Also beginning November 1, payment will be required at the time of service for all charges under un-der $50.00. If the patient has insurance coverage, the hospital will then assist in seeking reimbur-, sement for the patient. Amounts in excess of the $50.00 limit may be billed to the individual patient. These unpaid balances will then be subject to the interest-service charge with a 50 minimum charge for balances under $33.00. Initially, this new program may seem difficult, dif-ficult, but it is in the best interest of the general public. These changes are due to the high degree of account neglect and credit abuse. Hopefully, this will help eliminate many of the lingering accounts. Also, by bringing the accounts into a more current perspective, per-spective, we hope to be able to hold many hospital costs down and reduce the necessity of the potential increases in health care costs for the patient. Thank you for your cooperation. Glenn G.Neill Gunnison Valley Hospital Published in the Salina Sun Oct. 9 and 16, 1980. Published in the Gunnison Valley News Oct. 9 and 16, 1980. |
