Show school play announced mary lee johnson will be fea aured as maudie mason a designing teen ager in STAG LINE the 1955 56 school play to be presented fri fn day november in the school gymnasium this three act comedy produced by arrangement with the dramatic publishing co of chicago has a cast of 18 13 and has been in re hearsay for more than a month the play takes place in the liv ing room of the mason home older sister sylvia is to be married to jerry but younger sister maudie gums up the works by managing the wedding as well as carrying on off and on courtships with three or four of her stag ime line sharon silliman plays the part of sylvia while darwin hunt is jerry the parents of the bride are fred and helen thurston mau die s old saddle shoe boy friend is played by arden sherrill donald dean has drawn the role of ronald a sort of misfit house guest mrs farrington smith and smitty the dressmaker are character parts played by norma june thompson and sharon robinson bruce nelson will be found cast as mac the hand some best man maudie s friends alix juhe and lysbeth are judy silliman norma lowe and mary lou wilcox bridesmaids ting and carol are violet brock and arlene sherrill the cast is rounded out with margaret the maid placed by donna thompson by raphael denn is appearing as chi and by kenneth curbs curtis as good old snoots curtain time will be 8 00 A first rate performance can be expected on the new large stage and with the new lighting system |
