Show HO, FOR LAGOON! With unexcelled service over the Bamberger Electric railway, the Lagoon La-goon promises to be the most popular popu-lar resort in the state this summer. The picture iue resort will open on Decoration day. Everything is being done to make it a beauty spot. More than 7,000 potted plants and ferns have been planted in the gardens and there will be a wealth of roses and other flowers in bloom during the entire en-tire season. The lawns are now being be-ing put in condition and the foliage is coming out in abundance. The Lagoon will be beautifully lighted this year. The Utah Light and Railway company will furnish unlimited un-limited power to the Bamberger Electric Elec-tric and the Lagoon for lighting and power purposes. Several thousand additional ad-ditional lights will be installed about the grounds. Improvements are being made all over the grounds. The band stand which was started last year will be completed this week. The management intends to furnish musical musi-cal and perhaps vaudeville entertainments entertain-ments this season. A bowery for soft drinks is being erected near the dance hall and will be completed in two weeks. An elaborate elab-orate fountain is being Installed and it will be one of the attractions of the resort. The bowery is being painted paint-ed and additional tables erected. The cafe will be under the new management manage-ment and the best things in season will be served to the patrons of the resort. For the children, an electric merry-go-round will be in service. There will be other amusements such as the "Shoot-the-Chutes," the miniature railroad, rail-road, the Roller Coaster and a score of games "down the pike." The Bamberger railway is now equipped to handle the summer crowds to the resort. With unlimited power all the motor cars and new trailers can be placed In service. Every hour from 6 o'clock in the morning until 11:45 o'clock at night trains will leave both Salt Lake and Ogden. The double tracking between Farmington and Kaysvillo is now completed. This will facilitate the service greatly, doing away with all delays In passing en route. |
