Show Representative Dixon, of Montana, has a lynch-ing lynch-ing story. A committee of vigilantes had cap-tured cap-tured an Irishman and a Swede and were about jM to hang them by tying a rope about the neck of each, and shoving them off a railroad bridge. The first man up was the Swede. When he was pushed off, the rope came unfed and the man struck the water and swam ashore.
