Be It ordained by tho city council of Salt Lake City, Utah: Section 1. That tho assessment list mado by tho city treasurer, as corrected, correct-ed, approved and completed by tho board of equalization and review, horo-toforo horo-toforo duly appointed by the city council coun-cil for that purpose, of tho property abutting on both sides of Second South streot from tho we3t side of Third East street to tho west side of Tenth East streot, in paving district No. 19 of Salt Lake City, for tho purposo of providing for tho grading, curbing, guttering and paving of said portion of said si aot, is hereby confirmed, and tho assessments assess-ments mado and returned in said completed com-pleted lists aro hereby confirmed. Sec. 2. This ordinanco shall tako effect ef-fect upon approval. Passed by tho city council of Salt Lake City, Utah, April 17th, 1906, and referred to tho mayor for his approval. J. B. An ordinanco amending and ro-enactlng ro-enactlng Rule A of Section 517 of tho Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, as amended by an ordinanco amending Section 517 of Chapter XXXV of tho Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, passed Juno 30, 1905, and approved July 5, 1905. Bo It ordained by the city council of Salt Lake City, Utah: Section 1. That Rule A of Section 517 of tho Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, as amended by an ordinanco amending Section 517 of Chapter XXXV of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, passed June 30, 1905, and approved ap-proved July 5, 1905, bo and tho same hereby Is amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows: Rulo A. No plumbing work shall bo begun without first obtaining a permit therefor. Every building In which plumbing arrangements are constructed shall be connected with tho city sower, where such sower is provided, and when it is not provided, with a 'cesspool 'cess-pool in a location and with a capacity to bo approved by tho board of health. Every plumber, before doing plumbing work on any building, and before making mak-ing any additions to old work, excepting except-ing repairs (and repairs are defined to consist of mending leaks In drain, soil, wasto and vent pipes, and repairs on faucets, valves and water supply pipes, and of forcing out wasto pipes, or replacing re-placing water closet bowl, or opening soil or wasto pipes to remove an obstruction), ob-struction), shall obtain a written permit, per-mit, Issued by said Plumbing Inspector, Inspec-tor, to do said work; provided, that in buildings which aro condemned by tho board of health or Plumbing Inspector because of unsanitary condition, no plumbing shall bo considered as coming com-ing under tho head of repairs, but all plumbing shall bo done as in tho case of now buildings. All work shall bo subject to Inspection. Under no circumstances shall any mechanic doing tho work of plumbing or house draining, or any employe of such mechanic, act as tho agent of the Inspector of Plumbing to perform the dutlos prescribed In this ordinanco. Sec. 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith aro hereby repealed to tho extent of such conflict. Sec. 3. This ordinanco shall tako effect ef-fect upon approval.
