Show T. W. Buzzo. News comes early in the week from Long Beach, California, of the death at that place of Thomas W. Buzzo. Mr. Buzzo was born in Ireland seventy-two years ago, come when a youth to the United States; he helped to open the Calumet & Hecla mine in northern Michigan, and from there came direct to Utah, some thirty or more years ago. About twelve years ago he went to Butte, Montana, Mon-tana, to take charge of the Walker Bros, interests inter-ests at that place, remaining there until illness led him to California some two years ago. For several months- of late he seemed to be improving, improv-ing, it was believed that he would regain his old robust health, but on Monday last suddenly expired, ex-pired, probably from heart failure. Mr. Buzzo was a very sterling man, most capable in his business, of absolutely stainless- integrity and was a thorough thor-ough American before he left his native country. He was as true a friend as he was a citizen, all the old race in Utah remember him with the utmost ut-most respect and friendship. He lived a most useful use-ful life and worked until his arms grew nerveless under illness and the weight of his more than three score years and ten weighed him down. Sincere sympathy will go out to his family and from a thousand miners' homes all hails and farewells will go out to him. |
