Show THE ORPHEUM DECORATIONS. The decorations of the Orpheum are nearing . . completion, and when the theatre opens its doors on August 13th it will have undergone a vast transformation. On entering the theatre, the outer vestibule or main entrance is richly decorated in oil colors, in various shades of rich greens and ivories. The inner lobby of the main entrance is decorated dec-orated in the style of Louis XVI modernized, the color scheme of which Is ivory cream and Pom-peilan Pom-peilan red for walls. The foyer changes and here the building is olive green with ivory effects. The auditorium is being done in the modernized Renaissance and Louis XVI; the boves, balcony fronts and proscenium proscen-ium arch are being richly decorated in white and gold, with floral effects and a Utah sky on the sounding board. The color scheme of the theatre proper is cream, ivory and old rose, which makes a warm and pleasing effect. The entire scheme of decoration is being done under the personal supervision of Mr. George Hodel of Mitchel & Halbach, Chicago, 111., noted throughout the United States as the leading theatre the-atre decorators. Charles C. Halbach, who has charge of the work here, says that the theatre will equal if not surpass any of its size west of the cities. |
