Show The Inter-Mormon Republican was declared the official party organ some weeks ago after "Bill" Spry had dipped into the church fund for money enough to buy the control of the paper from the malodorous but crafty Blunck. It was indorsed by the executive committee of the state central committee. Spry was chairman of the committee which indorsed the organ, and he was a director and nominally a heavy stockholders stock-holders in the paper. In other words he used his official position in the party to promote a private newspaper enterprise. This fact is just beginning to dawn upon some of the suckers who have been i assisting the paper by subscribing for it on the theory that it really was the "official organ" of the party. It is really the official organ of the Smoot gang, and, if any Republican doubts it, let him try to get favorable mention in its columns for some aspirant for office who is antagonistic to that gang. |
