Show In order to give Senator Fairbanks the mi- ' presslon that it was pre-eminently fair, the - f jjH Tribune was almost decent and human In itb , - H political news of yesterday. It even went so 1 vJH far as to refer to "Fussy Jimmy" as James H. !H Anderson, an example of self-abnegation which H must have been a terrific strain on the writer, tlH and many other Republicans against whom the I Tribune has been dally firing Its venomous pa- H per bullets, escaped for the nonce the appella- H tion of "Smootized." The poor devil must be H very sick, indeed, and the reaction will be some- gH thing scandalous when the Indiana Senator gets iH beyond our borders. If he stayed another week iH the Tribune would choke to death from pent up I f ' H spleen. 1 H . . ' |
