Show The Tribune shows much purturbllity over Angus M. Cannon's "Commanding Presence" in the county convention. The fact that Mr. Cannon nominated, or seconded the nomination X)f, several candidates who were defeated for the nomination nomina-tion is attributed by the sleuthful organ to a well-devised plot to deceive the onlooker Into tho idea that no church influence waa fomenting. There appears to have been no escape for Brother Angus from the petty arrows of tho bolting me dium, for how wild and lurid would the denunciation denun-ciation not have been had Angus M. happened to nominate a winner. In that case the Tribune's "apostolic influence" contortions would have been positively cataleptic. |
