Show I Society. The banquet at the Commercial club Thursday night was a superb affair and 136 members of the old-time knights of the key and their ladies enjoyed en-joyed themselves until a new day had dawned. The "man behind the menu" Charles Childs, had but six hours to prepare for the banquet and he responded with an elaborate spread. The floral decorations were beautifully arranged and the multi-colored electric "73" (good morning) morn-ing) and 30 (good night) in telegraphic parlance par-lance were delightful surprises to the delighted de-lighted guests. Secretary Fisher Harris , fairly out did himself in handling the large crowd BJIt so unexpectedly handed him, and his speech was Jj one of the best and most thoroughly appreciated B ; j fl of the evening. B i ii 1 H The invitations have been issued for the Bartch- . 1 3 11 Child wedding- which will take place, on Septem- Bj I 8j ber 30th. It will be one of the principal social K j 1 1 M events of the month.
