J Peg Bagneli; food service supervisor at Garfield Memorial Hospital, has been selected by the Panguitch Chamber of Commerce as Panguitch Employee of the Month for May. Employed at the hospital for the past five years, she was selected for the special honor because of her all-around all-around versatility, her community service as a dedicated volunteer, her adaptability and dependability, and her enthusiasm that, according to her fellow workers, never waivers. Along with the other members of the dietary staff at the hospital, she is responsible for ordering supplies and food stuffs and for preparation of food and cleanup at the hospital kitchen. She also caters special hospital-related hospital-related events such as Annual Hospital Foundation Dinners, Governing Board dinners, Garfield Memorial Health Care Foundation monthly lunches and Ambulance Board affairs. She has Just recently completed a correspondence course through the University of North Dakota in management training and now holds the title of Dietetic Assistant. In addition to the normal daily meals prepared for hospital ' patients, her staff daily prepares meals for 14 to 18 hospital employes at a reduced fee. Her hobbies include her work as a volunteer 4-H leader and an annual cake decorating class. A primary . interest is her volunteer work as an Emergency Medical Technician where she remains on call for a 24-hour 24-hour period on alternate weeks. She says she loves the people she works with at the hospital who are like "family" to her with an unusual cohesiveness. She is married to Jake Bagnell and they are the parents of three sons, Jacob, Chula Vista, Calif, and Dale and Jerry in Panguitch. Her husband is a retired truck driver-dispatcher driver-dispatcher who now works summers for the Forst Service. She was born in Eugene, Oregon and reared in San Diego, Calif. The Bagnells moved from Solana Beach, Calif, to Panguitch about eight years ago. Both enjoy camping and fishing together and family outings with their sons and their families. |
