Show By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 Sorry we missed you last week. I caught a ride to Orem with Dave and Kathryn Pollock as they went to attend school meetings. I went to attend the funeral of John Ricks of West Valley City. He is the husband of Marilyn Monson Ricks and she is a daughter of Harold and Dora Monson of St. George. It was great seeing lots of the relatives rela-tives and friends and we will surely miss John. Our love and condolences condo-lences to the family. The Gary and Sandy Johnson family home evening was full of family as they had a family reunion. reun-ion. Sandy's mother, Wanda Lif-ferth Lif-ferth of Sandy was here, also Joe and Ann Nelson and son, Elliot of Provo. Wes and Mary Lynn Lif-ferth Lif-ferth and their children Gabe and Bridgette, who celebrated a birthday here, and a cousin, Heather Lifferth of Springville. Another brother, Bob and Marilyn Lifferth of West Jordan with Jamie and her fiance, Bryan were here, also Emily, Jacob . Erin and Monica of Logan. Sandy's sister, Gretchen Nott, husband hus-band Kevin, and five children of Lehi were present. A special visit from Sandy's sister Sally and husband, hus-band, Dave Jensen of Seattle, Wash, and their eight children was noted. Their son, Michael, entered the LDS Missionary Training Center Cen-ter in Provo on Wednesday. Sandy and Esther returned the next day with Emily and her mom, to Sandy for a visit. Savannah Thompson and Esther Johnson attended an FCCLA region competition in Provo. They won a gold medal in the Chapter Service department. Mrs. Thompson is their advisor. Good job girls. Gary and Sandy Johnson are the proud grandparents of Braxton Javy Albrecht, son of Jed and Rebecca Albrecht. The little fellow weighed 6 pounds. 7 ounces. Gary and Sandy went to Cedar City to see the new baby. John and Annie Barnett went to St. George for doctors appointments appoint-ments and also to attend the temple. Gary and Sandy Johnson also spent one day attending the temple. Ken and Joanne Goulding attended at-tended the auction in Cedar City and went to Panguitch also for doctors appointments. Ernie Henderson and wife Wynona visited the Henrieville residents at the Garfield Memorial Extended Care Facility on Monday. They're all doing well. Attending the blessing of Clay Lyle Mortensen, son of Shawn and Crystal Mortensen were Iris Bush-ncll, Bush-ncll, Kim Johnson and Doris Liles. Visiting with Rhoda Shafer were Dennis and Brenda Shakespear and family of Kanab. They also visited mom Lyllian Shakespear. Cecil Willis came from Heber City to do some work on Teora Willis' bathroom, so Teora came from St. George for the weekend. Teora also has been out in Vernal staying with Janet LeFevre, while she recuperated from back surgery. Beverly Thompson was released as LDS Relief Society organist. Krista Piatt was sustained as organist, organ-ist, Lori Piatt as cultural arts specialist spe-cialist in the. Young Womens organization, or-ganization, Mary Lou Nielson as a specialist also in the Young Womens and compassionate service specialist in Relief Society. Duztin Sorenson was called as assistant scout leader. John and Anne Barnett were in St. George for medical appointments. appoint-ments. They also attended the LDS temple as well. Ernie and Wynona Henderson spent a day in St. George at the temple and also paid a visit to Aunt Faun Goulding. She is at the home of her daughter, Zoe and Ernie Maes in Santa Clara. Tina Waite is recuperating at home after recent surgery in Cedar City. We wish her a speedy recovery. recov-ery. For those of you who don't know Tina, she is a daughter of Ramona Copfer. The Henrieville LDS Relief Society So-ciety held their visiting teaching workshops with 20 women in attendance. at-tendance. Dave Roberts will be attending the Peace Officers Standards of Training (POST) in Salt Lake City for a number of weeks. He will then be employed at the new Public Safety Facility in Panguitch. Anthony Rose, son of David and Sarah Rose was baptized a member of the LDS church.
