It will be held at Shannon Steeds "Wild West Retreat" on 2nd East and 3rd South here in Escalante. Lane and Geraldine Liston made a trip to the Garfield Memorial Hospital in Panguitch last Tuesday when Lane had a nose bleed. They got it stopped and he came home the same day. ; Jennifer Liston came from St. George on Thursday and spent the weekend with her Grandparents, Lane and Geraldine. Dallas and Emilee Clark, Cannonville, went to Salt Lake on Friday and left their little lit-tle boy, Westyn, with the Listons. Kelsey Liston, daughter daugh-ter of Gary and Sandy Liston, St. Johns, Arizona, is staying '. with the Clarks for the summer and tending her little nephew, Westyn, while his mom works. So she spent the weekend here too. Afton Moore, St. George, is living here with her mom, Lesli Venuti, while a new house is being built for her family. If you see a bunch of senior citizen ladies looking a little better than usual, it is because Afton has been doing all she can to beautify beauti-fy them while she's here. They have had a ball getting facials and trying all her Mary Kay products. (I'm sure I speak for all when I say, "It takes a lot more work to beautify us now than it used to! Most of us have skin now that needs ironing!) Theron and Dixie Mitchell and Don and Lillian Coleman camped at Posey Lake. Tyler and Lisa Lyman have their first grandchild. A little girl, Caitlynn Marie. Her mom is Jaimie, her great grandparents are Rolain Alvey and Lyllian and Russ LeFevre of Henrieville. They say she's mighty cute! Thelma Cottam is in the hospital hos-pital in Cedar City. She fell, breaking a bone in the lower part of her leg, which required a cast, and also injured her knee quite badly. I slighted Pratt and Areola Gates (quite unintentionally) ' when I named all grandparents of our graduates but them (I hope!) in last weeks paper. Sorry folks! They are the great grandparents of Riley Smith, daughter of Margo and the late Jim Smith. Hal Shurtz called to say that most of his family had been to the Manti temple for the wedding wed-ding of his granddaughter, Kelsey Nielsen, daughter of Brent and Jaleen Nielsen, Richfield. His family had also been to Blanding for a family reunion at the home of Stephanie and Shawn Jack. Klyn and Marlene Haws went to Cedar City on Thursday of last week. They visited with their granddaughter, Shondelle Cottam; and their grandson, Brandon Haws, drove up from St. George to have lunch with them. They saw McKay and Rose Bailey there, also having lunch, and Judy Brooks at WalMart. On their way home they stopped at "Doug's" in Tropic and ran into two very familiar looking state road summer sum-mer employees, Derlynne Brooks and Elisa Cottam. They were visiting with Gaden Griffin and his two sons, who were on their way to Boulder for the weekend. |
