Show Merle O. Braithwaite Merle Owens Braithwaite returned re-turned to be with her husband Le-land Le-land on Dec. 26, 1999. She passed away in Lake Havasu, Ariz. She was born Feb. 18, 1922 in Pan-guitch Pan-guitch to Ernest and Mclinda Shakespear Owens. She married Leland R. Braithwaite Braith-waite on Sept. 29, 1945. The marriage mar-riage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He passed away Aug. 30, 1985. She was a member of the LDS Church, and held various positions in the church. She is survived by one son and two daughters: Ronnie (Millie) Braithwaite, Marnell (Eddie) Spencer, Sherry (Paul) Strevay; eight grandchildren: Clint, Shana, Mario, Mikel, Angela, Antonio, Dickie and Debbie; sister and brothers: broth-ers: Elma (Arden) Johnson, Ned (Melva) Owens, Boyd (Renae) Owens, Gene (Elva) Owens, Glenn (Bonnie) Owens. She is preceded in death by brothers, Garn and George. X i i j; j I Merle O. Braithwaite Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 30. at the Jenkins-Soffe Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary. Interment was in the Manti City Cemetery. Family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations dona-tions be sent to Utah Diabetes Foundation. Delbert "Bud" Bowman CEDAR CITY Delbert "Bud" Bowman, age 83, passed away Jan. 2, 2000 in Parowan. He was born Oct. 13, 1916 in Whit-tier, Whit-tier, Calif, to Noah and Mary Kin-drick Kin-drick Bowman. He married Fern Guffy who preceded pre-ceded him rff death in 1968. He then married Romas Jones on Mar. 1, 1969 in Las Vegas, Nev. Bud was the seventh child of 19 children. He served in the Marines during Word War II. Bud owned several businesses in his lifetime. He was an exceptional mechanic, always willing to help others with their automobiles. Bud loved the outdoors; he loved hunting, fishing, cooking and woodworking. Bud will be greatly missed by his family fam-ily and friends but especially by his grandchildren. He lived up to the name Grandfather. He is survived by his wife; children: chil-dren: Bruce (Joanna) Bowman of California; Pete Marker, Sheri (Butch) Bacon, and Peggy Marker, all of Utah; daughter-in-law Wilma Bowman of Illinois; five grandchild dren and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by a son, Randy Bowman. Graveside services will be held on Friday, Jan. 7, 2000 at 1 p.m. in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. |
