Show Laura Smith Clark HENRIEVILLE, UTAH Laura Smith Clark, 82, of Henrieville, died June 9, 1996 in Panguitch, Utah. She was born Jan. 18, 1914 in Henrieville to James Edward and Nelliw Elizabeth Chynoweth Smith. She married W. Kay Clark, Dec. 29, 1931 in the St. George LDS Temple. She has been a loving wife and mother and showed great love for her family. She attended school in Henrieville and Tropic. She lived in Glen Canyon City and Kanab areas working as a cook at the Page, Ariz. Hospital for several years. She also cooked for the Henrieville Senior Citizens and loved to do hand work. She is survived by her husband of 64 12 years, W. Kay Clark of Henrieville, two daughters, and one son and their spouses, Ronald and Patsy Clark, Pocatello, Ida.; LaKay and Eugene Quilter, Henrieville, Utah; Mary Carol Izatt, Salt Lake City, Utah; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, one brother and six sisters, Deward Smith, Hawthorne, Nev.; Ruby Moore, Iris Bushnell and Doris Liles, all of Henrieville; Flora Leibenguth, Escalante; Marjorie Ford, Henderson, Nev. and Alta Rae lK. Laura Smith Clark Hansen, Salt Lake City. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Sheron Rand Clark; grandson, Durk K. Clark and brother, Layton Smith. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 12, 1996 in the Henrieville LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Henrieville Cemetery under the direction of Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. Ada Porter ESCALANTEOGDEN, UTAH Ada Porter, 97 of Ogden, Utah and formerly of Escalante, died June 8, 1996 in Ogden. She was born Apr. 11, 1899 in Escalante to Isaac Arnold and Mary Ann Alvey Porter, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She lived most of her life in Escalante, where she was known for her beautiful yards and flowers. The last seven years of her life have been spent in Ogden under the care of her loving niece, Mrs. Jean Hamilton. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jarred Porter and Preston Porter; four sisters, Ella Griffin, Letty Boyce, Ethel Pollock and Erma Hamilton. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 1996 at 1 p.m. in the Escalante LDS Stake Center, where friends may call on Friday W Ada Porter one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in the Escalante Cemetery under the direction of Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. |
