's, -.-. 8, r - ' Savella Sanford Savella Sanford Celebrates Her 95th Birthday PANGUITCH Savella Sanford San-ford of Panguitch will celebrate her 95th birthday on Dec. 24, 1998. She married Brown Sanford, who passed away last year at the age of 96. They were married for 73 years. Sanford graduated from Brigham Young University . and was teaching school when she was 18 years old. She taught in a one room schoolhouse and some of her students were as old as she was. She tells stories of traveling from Fillmore to Escalante by horse and buggy, which took several sev-eral days of camping to make the trip. Sanford enjoys crocheting and quilting and is an avid reader. She has one daughter, Shirley Bulkley, Panguitch and five grandchildren, 23 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and 14 great-greatgrandchildren. |
