Show Antimony News By Betty Wiley 624-3215 The Jerry Savages traveled to Cedar City for Christmas dinner with the Keith Savage family and then on to Las Vegas, Nev. to stay a day or two. The Ted Jolleys had a busy holiday time. They spent Christmas in Las Vegas with their son, Darrin and family. On the New Year they had their son and daughter-in-law, Eric, Lisa and children and also David and Audrey Hermansen and children come to visit. In LDS Sacrament meeting Jerry Savage and President Shannon Allen were released from their Sunday School teaching jobs and Jerry Savage was sustained as Course 14-17 teacher and Chris : Kendall was sustained as Course 14 teacher. Visiting with Bill and Jane Wiley during the holidays were Wade and Jennifer Wiley, Aurora, Brett and Angie Holyoak and baby of St. George and Trent and Libby Fox and son of Richfield. Attending the funeral in Richfield for Lynn Savage from Antimony were Jerry and Janene Savage, Van and Betty Wiley and Jerry Rowan. Jerry Rowan's parents, the Jerald Rowans of Provo came down also for the funeral. Lonny and Linda Thomas of Richfield were here visiting with his mother and family during the holiday. Trent and Shelley Gleave of Cedar City were visiting with their parents the Tom Kings and Valeen Gleave. Wes and Patsy Blake of Richfield came on Sunday and attended LDS Sacrament meeting with her mother, Valeen Gleave. There was a special Centennial Fireside for this end of the LDS Stake on Wednesday evening. Those attending were the Ted Jolleys, the George Jolleys, Bishop Blood, Barbara Gleave, as well as Stake President Shannon Allen. A special Centennial gathering was held at the elementary school on Thursday morning at 9:15 A.M. The Town Board and Gary Gcricke, Afton Blood, Clarence Twitchell and Leon Twitchell helped with the ceremony. This included a 21-gun salute, a flag ceremony, songs and video. Refreshments were served. |
